About Us

Owners Mark & Erin Douglas started Cinnabar Gunworks out of their shared passion for vintage firearms, especially guns of the "Old West".  Located on their remote, historic Southeast Oregon cattle ranch, they're committed to the preservation and conservation of the iconic firearms that "Won the West".

Mark is an avid Winchester collector and is currently 1st Vice President of the Winchester Arms Collectors Association.  Erin's interest lies in vintage Colts, particularly Lightning slide action rifles and 1st generation Single Action Army revolvers.

The Douglases are products of the wild and woolly Old West.  Erin is a descendant of the Clanton family, the Tombstone outlaws of OK Corral fame.  While Mark's great grandfather, Glaudius Moore, was a close friend of Billy the Kid and would become a lawman in Silver City, NM where he is said to have killed four men in the line of duty.
