1855 Colt Root Revolver

1855 Colt Root Revolver.  31 caliber with 4 1/2" round barrel.  SN 9157, mfd. 1856.  Fantastic mechanical and cosmetic condition with near perfect bore.  This 176 year old revolver appears to have been fired very little.  Frame has retained most of the original high polish Colt blue.  Barrel and cylinder have lost much of the original blue.  Very little sign of wear and no visible pitting inside or out.  Entire engraved scene on cylinder is intact.  Original wooden grip is in excellent shape with only a few minor dings.  Grip fits the revolver beautifully.  A superb example of an early Colt Root.  Antique, can ship to your door.
